Alternative power rocks! The sun, wind and waves are freely available resources, and with the right technology we can harness that power cleanly and safely. The dream of cheap power for all is still some way from becoming reality, but with luck we’ll one day realise it. Lots of people complain about wind farms being an eyesore, but whenever I see wind turbines stretching away into the distance it always makes me feel slightly more hopeful about our future. And, well, they also make it look like I’m living in the future… what can I say, I’m a science geek!
